Askern firefighters will be welcoming local people into the station on Saturday 14^th August for a fun-packed open .

 There will be a range of activities and demonstrations planned throughout the day, including:

·         Road traffic collision demonstration

·         Technical Rescue Unit (TRU) display – firefighters trained in specialist rescue techniques will be performing a demonstration

·         Chip pan fire demonstration

·         Aerial Ladder Platform demonstration

·         The Firefighters Charity stall

·         Refreshments available

The event will be open between 10am and 4pm.

Askern Station Manager Steve Adams said:  “Local people are invited to come along and find out a little more about how things work here at the station.  There will be plenty of activities for all the family to enjoy a really good day out..  Our firefighters will also be on hand to offer valuable road and fire safety advice”
