Fire at disused factory

Firefighters have attended a large fire at a disused industrial unit on High Street in the Askern area of Doncaster.

The fire was first reported at 11:28am this morning and at its height seven fire engines were in attendance.

The unit which used to be Askern Saw Mills, was well alight when firefighters arrived.  Crews worked hard to get the fire under control and prevented the fire from spreading.

There were no casualties at this incident and no other properties were affected by the fire.

Fire crews left the scene at 3:24pm.
