Spate of fires in Doncaster

Firefighters in the Doncaster area were kept busy overnight following a number of arson attacks.

Fire crews from Doncaster, Edlington and Adwick stations were called to several incidents between 7pm on Tuesday evening through to Wednesday morning.

The incidents included:

  • Two portable cabins on fire on Nelson Street, Hyde Park.
  • A car was destroyed after an arson attack on Queen Road, Balby at 8.45pm.
  • A rubbish fire which spread to the roof of a property on Victoria Road, Balby.
  • Bin fire which spread to two cars parked next to a house, which also spread to the kitchen, no casualties involved, on Bramworth Road, Hexthorpe.
  • There were also a number of small bin fires, car fires, skip fires and garden fires which fire crews attended.

South Yorkshire Police were called to the area to investigate the spate of fires.
