Fire At Steelworks

Crews from Aston and Maltby Fire Stations spent over an hour tackling a fire at a steel works this evening.

They were called to the incident at 7:05pm at a building on the North Anston Trading Estate, where an air filter had caught fire.  Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus set to work dismantling the filter and tackling the fire using a hose reel.

No-one was injured in the blaze, which started accidentally due to a spark from an angle grinder.  Crews left the scene at 8:23pm.
