South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue attended two cooker fires within the space of three hours on Sunday morning in Sheffield.
A woman in her 40s suffered smoke inhalation in the first incident, just after 8.00am, at her flat on Rosemary Road, Beighton. She had got herself out of the flat and the fire was out before the arrival of fire crews.. The woman did not need to attend hospital, having been treated by firefighters at the scene.
No one was injured in the second incident, at 11.00am on Hill Street, Highfield. Again, the fire was in a cooker, but was out upon the arrival of fire crews.
