A National "Yellow Helmet" weekend takes place annually.  During this weekend members of South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue go out and about at various locations around the county selling children's Yellow Helmets in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity and offering fire safety advice to members of the public.

In 2006 South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue raised nearly £10,000 during Yellow Helmet Weekend.  Thank you for your support.
