Girls Rescued from Mud

28 February 2010

Two girls had a lucky escape this evening after getting stuck in mud in a field at Moorends in Doncaster.

Fire engines from Thorne and Edlington fire stations attended the incident at around 6.20pm and found the two girls both in their early teens, stranded in the mud unable to get out.

Firefighters waded through the mud to reach the girls who were both carried to safety.

Fire crews left the scene at just after 7pm.
