Blaze at Doncaster Industrial Units

Firefighters were called to a large fire at Industrial Units on Oswin Avenue in the Balby area of Doncaster this evening.  After being alerted to the fire at 5:20pm.

At the height of the blaze around 25 firefighters - five fire engines from Doncaster, Adwick, Edlington and Elm Lane were at the scene.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used main jets to tackle the blaze at the four Industrial Units.

Around 20 local residents were evacuated from surrounding properties as a pre-caution.

No-one was injured at the incident and Fire crews left the scene at 9:15pm.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
