Firefighters have cut a woman in her 70s free from a car in Doncaster.

Crews were called to the scene of a road traffic collision on Langthwaite Road, Scawthorpe, Doncaster at 3.20pm yesterday afternoon, after a car had gone into a bungalow wall.

They used cutting equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle and removed the casualty, who was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary suffering chest pains and leg injuries.

Fire crews, from Adwick and Doncaster fire stations, left the scene at 4.35pm.
