Man treated after cooker left on

A man was led to safety by fire crews the cooker was left on at his Rotherham home in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to the address on Wortley Road, Kimberworth, just before 3am, and found the man, who was in his 30s, still inside the house. They took him outside where he was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation. He did not need to attend hospital.
