Open day at Edlington fire station

Youngsters learn the ins and outs of ART rescue

Edlington firefighters will be welcoming local people into the station on Saturday 26th June for a fun-packed open day.

There will be a range of activities and demonstrations planned throughout the day, including:

·         Road traffic collision demonstration

·         Technical Rescue Unit (TRU) display – firefighters trained in specialist rescue techniques will be performing a         demonstration

·         Chip pan fire demonstration

·         NHS

·         Fire Fighters Charity

The event which coincides with the Edlington Gala will be open between 10am and 4pm.

Edlington Station Manager Neil Baugh said:  “The open day will be a fun day for all the family.  It will give the local people a chance to come along and to meet their local firefighters and to have a look around the Station.”
