Key Delivery Objectives

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue has a performance management framework which incorporates outcome focused KDOs. These KDOs are aligned to the Service’s eight Corporate Commitments. A suite of national and local performance indicators supports each of the KDOs by which we can measure progress against the Service’s key priorities as set out in the Corporate Plan.

It reflects our shared delivery of Local Area Agreement (LAA) priorities, alongside partners within the four Local Strategic Partnerships. This includes appropriate performance monitoring of the key LAA indicators to which we contribute.

The KDOs that are listed under ‘the Community’ are our commitments to the community, whereas those listed under ‘the Service’ are our commitments to the Service.

The performance indicators are reviewed quarterly by the Corporate Management Board, in advance of being presented to the Fire Authority’s Scrutiny Board, where performance is challenged and reviewed.
