Our Organisation
South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue is a Metropolitan Fire Brigade, which functions under the control of South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Authority.

It covers the County area of the South Yorkshire Region, encompassing the 4 districts of Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield.  The Brigade is led by the Chief Fire Officer and his Senior Management Team is responsible for managing each function and department.

Our strategic goals are outlined in our Aims and Objectives and within our Corporate Plan 2008-2011.
