Rotherham Fire Station Opens its Doors to the Public

Rotherham Fire Station will open its doors to local people this Saturday (26th July 2008) in a fun day specially designed to encourage safer driving.

The open day which is run in partnership with EliteCruisers, will be packed with many activities and demonstrations throughout the day which will include:

• A mock road traffic collision demonstration
• Breathaliser/reaction tester
• Beat the driving instructor (in a mock exam)
• MOT failure car
• A driving instructor will giving a safety talk
• A chance to challenge the firefighters in fire fighting skills
• Advice on fire awareness
• A quiz on road safety,
• Vintage fire appliances along side new technical appliances
• Wheel change competition.
