The South Yorkshire Fire Prevention Association & Fire Liaison Panel (FPA) exists to provide the following support for the local business community:

• To promote and support all organisations involved in the prevention of fire in the home and workplace.
• To encourage local fire safety initiatives.
• To support any national fire safety campaigns.
• To provide a forum to discuss and disseminate any new rules or information on fire safety matters - and a ready means of contact with the fire service.
• To provide technical assistance on fire related matters when requested.
• To involve management in local government, industry and commerce in local fire prevention panels.
• To demonstrate to the general public the cause and dangers of fire and its implications.
• To provide training resources, videos etc. to help with this.
