Woman Escapes House Fire
South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue were alerted to a house fire this morning at 9:35am on Cammell Road, Firth Park in Sheffield.
Two fire appliances from Elm Lane and one from Darnall were quickly on the scene.
Flames and smoke could be seen coming through a window in the roof from a converted attic bedroom. Firefighters wearing breath apparatus and a hose reel tackled the fire.
The occupant of the house was already outside when the fire crews arrived.
There was one female in her 50's, suffering from slight smoke inhalation and was given a precautionary check up by the Ambulance service at the scene, but did not attend hospital.
The house was an end terrace. A small amount of smoke had entered the adjoining property through the roof tiles.
The fire crews left the scene at 10:53am.
