Boy Rescued After Tree Climb

Darnall firefighters rescued a 5 year-old boy on Tuesday afternoon after he got stuck 25 feet up a tree in Sheffield.

The child was with a group of friends on a green near Chaplewood Road in Darnall when he decided to scale the tree.

A passer-by called firefighters, who rescued the boy using a ladder.

Crew Manager Chris Lally said: “He was quite a way up the tree and had panicked. Fortunately he wasn’t injured – it was just his pride that was a little dented.”
