Fire crews were called to a salvage yard on Lowfield Road, Bolton Upon Dearne in Barnsley at 9:39am this morning.

Five appliances from Royston, Adwick, Mexborough, Rotherham and Brampton along with an Incident Support Unit were quickly at the scene.

Around 20 scrap cars were involved in the fire.  Firefighters used hose reels to extinguish the fire.

Fire crews left the scene at 1:10pm
