Command Headquarters

Command Headquarters is situated in the Wellington Street complex in the centre of Sheffield, which also contains Central Fire Station, the Control Room and Central Workshops. Building commenced in August 1983 and the Control Room staff were the first to occupy the premises when the new Command and Control Centre opened in August, 1986. Headquarters staff moved in during October 1987, and Central Fire Station opened during February, 1988, replacing the old Division Street Fire Station. The official opening of the building by HRH the Duchess of Kent took place on 18th March, 1988.
