Home Risk Assessment

Using a simple questionnaire, Fire Service personnel will look at any potential problem areas in your home and offer advice and guidance on how to reduce the risk of fire.

We will give advice and information on the importance and maintenance of smoke alarms and how to stay safe from fire, including kitchen hazards, safe disposal of smoking materials, candles, tea lights, electrical wiring and appliances. How to establish a "fire action plan" to prepare you should a fire occur in your home.

We will fit 10 year smoke alarms free of charge, where appropriate.

  • Please note all visits will be by appointment only and pre-arranged with you.
  • Remember, always ask to see Fire Service Identification
