South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue is committed to working in partnership with schools to raise the awareness of students concerning home fire safety. In liaison with local education authorities the Brigade has formulated an educational scheme of work called "Blaze" to be used within the curriculum concerning the overall education of children in becoming "safer citizens" within the community. "Blaze" is a continuing scheme of work developed by South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue which links fire safety awareness to the ideals and values of "Citizenship".
