Key Stage 1
Key Stage One Education

In April 2005 South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue provided every Infant, Junior and Primary School in South Yorkshire with an Educational Toolbox.  The Toolbox contains all the resources teachers need to deliver Fire Safety Education in their school.  Each box contains a full set of Teachers Notes and associated Worksheets, on a CD, to help them prepare the lessons.  Also included are Junior Fire Kits, Hazard Sheets, Dummy Match and Lighter, Smoke Alarm, Telephone, models of the Triangle of Fire, and 2 further CDs - one with a recording to enable pupils to simulate a 999 Emergency Call, the other with games to test the learning.  Teachers can also contact the nearest fire station and ask for a Fire Engine to visit the school.  All Station Contact Numbers are included in the Tool Boxes.

There is a box somewhere in your school.  Please look for it, use it and help South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue deliver First Class Fire Safety Education to your pupils.

Should you be unable to locate the Toolbox contact:-
