Fire Safety Play

SYFR, alongside a professional drama group, run an interactive programme to demonstrate consequences of arson to youngsters. The drama is taken into schools where a team of drama professionals perform a piece of theatre dealing with the consequences of ‘fooling around’ with fire.

The performance is then followed by interactive workshops in which the young people explore some of the issues surrounding arson and anti-social behaviour in more depth. The facilitators tackle serious issues including verbal abuse and violence towards fire crews and dispel notions that arson is a victimless crime.

One-to-One

Through the One-to-One programme, trained advisors meet with young people who have a history of arson-related offending. The scheme offers fire safety education and advice for both the young people and their parents/carers.
