South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue - Working For a Safer South Yorkshire

Service Plan

Priorities

A 14 week public consultation on proposed changes to SYFR's frontline services ended on Monday 6 February 2012.

All responses will now be collated and the Fire Authority will make a decision on the proposals in the near future.

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue’s Service Plan for 2011-13 outlines how the Service intends to continue to provide its vital services to local communities through the challenging times ahead. The full plan can be viewed here

The four priorities identified for this period have been developed from the feedback received from a major public consultation undertaken in 2010. They are:

COMMUNITY – Making people safer – working to prevent emergencies

OPERATIONS – Responding to emergencies – effectively and safely

PEOPLE – Valuing people – those we serve and employ

FINANCE AND RESOURCES – Maximising efficiency – making our resources go further
