1. Shout "FIRE"
It's very important that everyone around knows there's a fire as well
2. Don't Panic
Because when you panic you don't think properly and it will take you longer to do things. You will be much safer if you stay calm
3. Go outside with everyone and stay together
So nobody gets left inside where it's very dangerous
4. Stay outside
Because if you go back in you could get trapped. The only time you should go back into the building is when a firefighter tells you it's OK.
5. Phone the Fire Service
1. Get to the nearest telephone, but not in the building where you find the fire.

2. Dial 999 (or 112).

3. Tell the person who answers that you need the Fire Service.

4. Tell them the address of the building where the fire is.

5. Tell them what you saw on fire.

NEVER, EVER go back into the building unless a Firefighter tells you it's OK.

It is very important that you never pretend there is a fire and dial 999 for a joke.
