Work experience

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue will be offering a variety of one and two week work experience placements in Summer 2017.

Placements are available in the following departments:

  • Community Fire Safety
  • Human Resources
  • Health & Safety
  • Governance, Information & Projects
  • Civil Protection & Business Continuity
  • Property

There are detailed explanations of the placements on offer and examples of the type of work they will entail on the application form. This should help you to make an informed decision and apply for a placement that matches your interest area.

The form also indicates the location of the placement within the South Yorkshire area.

In order to apply for a place on our work experience scheme, please complete this form indicating which placement(s) you are interested in. Please take time to complete the personal statement and also ask a representative from your School to endorse your application.

The timeline for this process is below:

Deadline for applications:             4pm Friday 28 April 2017

Placements confirmed by:           4pm Tuesday 16 May 2017
