A family of five have escaped unharmed after a fire broke out in a bedroom at their home.

Fire crews from Thorne and Doncaster stations were called to the incident at 11:45pm on Sunday night.

When firefighters arrived at the home on Broadway, in Dunscroft, Doncaster they found the family already outside.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to put the fire out.

The fire is believed to have started due to an electrical fault on a lamp.
