Overnight incidents – 22/23 September

Firefighters from Askern were called to High Street, Askern, at 7.36pm. Upon arrival they found a bin fire inside a derelict warehouse. This was dealt with by 8.14pm and is thought to have started deliberately.

Firefighters from Rotherham and Parkway were called to Union Street, Masbrough, at 8.36pm. Upon arrival they found a large amount of rubbish on fire inside a derelict building. This was dealt with by 9.58pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Thorne were called to Unity Way, Hatfield, at 9.30pm. Upon arrival they found a large amount of fly-tipped waste on the ‘pit top’. This was dealt with by 10.36pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Doncaster were called to Balby Road, Balby, at 11.42pm. Upon arrival they found a detached garage well alight. This was dealt with by 0.43am and is thought to have been started deliberately, by someone who pushed a wheelie bin up against the garage door and set it on fire.
