Overnight incidents 26/27 July 2020

On Sunday night at 11:00pm, one crew from Cudworth were called to a small vehicle fire on West Green Way in Monk Bretton, Barnsley. This was one vehicle in the middle of a roundabout. Creews used a hose reel to extinguish the fire which was deemed to be accidental. They left the scene at 11:36pm.

At 00:21am, firefighters from Rivelin attended a small vehicle fire on Penistone Road in Owlerton, Sheffield. This was a Land Rover involved. The fire had spread to two other nearby vehicles. The cause of this incident is not known and crews left around 1:00am.

Firefighters from Aston Park were called at 01:40am to a fire on Plantation Avenue in Dinnington. Two large, commerical wheelie bins in an external bin store were well alight upon arrival. Crews left at 03:11am. The incident was deemed to be deliberate.

Finally, at 03:21am Monday morning, one crew from Edlington attended an incident on Hooton Road in Brodsworth. This was a car that had been set alight and was totally burnt on arrival. Crews left at 04:24am and the incident was deemed to be deliberate.
