Overnight incidents 5/6 January

Two fire engines from Rivelin and Central stations were called at 8pm to a fire at an unoccupied building on Freedom Court, Sheffield. The firefighters used a hose reel to put the fire out which was in the loft/roof area.  Fire crews left the scene at 10:45pm.  It is believed to be a deliberate fire.

A transit van was deliberately set on fire on Carr Lane, Carr, Rotherham at 9:10pm.  Firefighters from Maltby station attended.  They left the scene at 9:50pm.

Elm Lane firefighters went out to a fire on Herries Road, Sheffield at 10pm.  A skip was accidentally on fire. The crew left at 10:15pm.

A Hyundai car was deliberately set on fire at 11pm last night on Grange Lane, Thorpe Hesley, Rotherham. Elm Lane staton attended the incident. They left the scene at 11:20pm.

At 11:30pm Edlington fire crew attended a Mercedes car which had been deliberately set on fire on Duke Avenue, New Rossington, Doncaster. The crew left at 12am.

A shed was deliberately set on fire at 11:45pm on Muglet Lane, Maltby, Rotherham. Two fire engines attended from Maltby and Aston station. Crews left the scene at 12:20am.

Three fire engines from Central and Lowedges stations attended a deliberate skip fire at 1:35am on Norton Lee’s Road, Sheffield. Crews left at 2:15am.

A number of tyres and rubbish were on fire at 7:25am this morning. Dearne station were called out to the incident on Hoober Lane, Hoober, Rotherham. They left at 7:40am. It was a deliberate fire.
