Weekend incidents 18/20 June 2021

Birley Moor firefighters were called out to a deliberate vehicle fire at 10pm (Friday) on Moss Way, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 10:40pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 1:05am (Saturday) on Broxholme Lane, Wheatley, Doncaster. Firefighters from Doncaster station attended the incident. They left at 1:40am.

Two fire crews from Doncaster station attended an accidental fire at a premise on Balmoral Road, Townfields, Doncaster at 12:15pm (Saturday). The fire involved a tumble dryer in the kitchen. The crews left the scene at 1pm.

At 6:20pm (Saturday) three fire crews from Rotherham and Dearne stations were called out to a premise fire on Selborne Street, Eastwood, Rotherham. The accidental kitchen fire was due to cooking. The occupant was already out of the property when crews arrived and was taken to hospital. The crews left the scene at 8:15pm.

Firefighters from Lowedges station attended a flat fire at 7:15pm (Saturday) on Batemoor Drive, Sheffield. The occupant went to hospital. The fire involved cooking and was quickly extinguished by the fire crew. They left the scene at 9:20pm.

Three vehicles were deliberately set on fire at 12:50am (Sunday) at Alnwick Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Birley Moor station attended the incident. They came away at 2:35am.

Three fire crews from Elm Lane and Central stations attended an accidental kitchen fire at 11:30am (Sunday) on Rutland Road, Sheffield. A tumble dryer was on fire. Luckily there were no casualties at this incident. The crews left the scene at 12:15pm.

At 12pm (Sunday) firefighters from Lowedges, Birley Moor and Parkway stations were called out to a flat fire on White Thornes Drive, Sheffield. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew left the scene at 1:15pm.
