Weekend incidents 26/29 August 2022

Friday 26 August

Two fire crews from Rotherham and Birley Moor stations were called out to an accidental fire involving hay bales at 7:40pm on Worry Goose Lane, Whiston, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 8:55pm.

Saturday 27 August

Central firefighters were called out a deliberate car fire at 1:40am on Lyons Street, Sheffield. The crew came away at 2:35am.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 2:10am on Barrow Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Elm Lane station attended the incident. They left at 3:20am.

Firefighters from Doncaster station attended a deliberate vehicle fire at 3:10am on Grange Lane, New Rossington, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 4am.

Barnsley firefighters were called out to an accidental vehicle fire on Beighton Road, Woodhouse, Sheffield at 12:35pm. The crew came away at 1:15pm.

A van was accidentally on fire at 1:50pm on Hooton Road, Kilnhurst, Rotherham. Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident. They left at 2:15pm.

Dearne firefighters were called out to a shed fir at 3:20pm on Addison Road, Mexborough, Doncaster. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. The crew left the scene at 3:50pm.

Sunday 28 August

A car was accidentally on fire at 3:10pm on Leys Lane, Dinnington, Rotherham. Firefighters from Aston station attended the incident. They left at 3:55pm.

Two fire crews from Tankersley and Barnsley stations attended an accidental fire involving a combine harvester at 7:35pm on Cortworth Lane, Wentworth, Rotherham. The crews came away at 9:40pm.

Firefighters from Aston and Maltby stations were called out to a premise fire at 10pm on Red Hill, Kiveton Park, Rotherham.  The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crews left the scene at 12:50am.
