Weekend incidents 26 to 28 June

Edlington and Doncaster firefighters tackled a fire at a house on Ratton Row, Wadworth shortly before 10pm on Friday night. It’s thought the fire was started deliberately  Crews came away around 00.30am.

A gas cooker ignited and caused damage to kitchen worktops at a property on Rockley View Court, Birdwell. Barnsley, Cudworth and Tankersley firefighters quickly dealt with the incident, having been called to the flat at around 11.30pm on Friday night.

Central firefighters dealt with a blaze involving trees and shrubs near to the Norfolk Arms on Ringinglow Road, Sheffield at around 1pm on Saturday. It’s thought the fire was started deliberately.

A blown light fitting resulted in Doncaster firefighters attending Doncaster Royal Infirmary at around 3.30pm on Saturday afternoon. Firefighters did not need to take any further action on arrival.

Cudworth firefighters dealt with a fire involving the front door of a property on The Green, Royston at around 9.30pm on Saturday. The fire was started deliberately and crews left the scene shortly after 10pm.

Elm Lane firefighters dealt with a fire involving a taxi on Pexton Road, Sheffield just before midnight on Saturday. The cause of the fire was unknown.

A Skoda Octavia ignited at around 4.45pm on Sunday. The fire, which was thought to have been started deliberately, was dealt with by firefighters from Rotherham fire station.
