Car Ends Up on Train Track

Firefighters from Aston and Mosborough moved a Hyundai Accent car from tracks near Kiveton Park railway station on Monday evening, after the driver lost control of the vehicle and ended up on a manned crossing.

Crews were called to the scene at around 18.25 after reports a car was on the tracks.

All trains were stopped while firefighters liaised with an engineer before removing the vehicle to a safe location.

The male driver suffered cuts and bruises but didn’t require hospital treatment.
