Salary: £16,231 - £17,372 pro rata


Hours: Part Time – 14.48 Hours per week – Monday, Tuesday (Job Share)

Work Pattern: Flexi Time


Location: Sheffield Business Fire Safety Office, Command Head Quarters, Eyre Street, Sheffield. S1 3FG


An opportunity has arisen within our Prevention and Protection section for a part time Administrator, based at the Business Fire Safety Office in Sheffield.

The overall purpose of the role will be to provide efficient and effective administrative support service to Prevention and Protection, including the operation of all office and administrative systems in accordance with South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue procedures.

You will be working as part of a small team providing support to both Community and Business Fire Safety Officers within the Sheffield area.  You will also be expected to provide support for other District Offices within South Yorkshire.

To be considered for this role you must have proven experience in working in an office environment and administration work.

You must possess Administration Qualification NVQ Level 2 or equivalent or be willing to work towards this.

The key duties will include:-

Processing Incoming/Outgoing Post

Use of Microsoft Applications in particular Outlook, Word, Excel

Telephone Queries

Booking of Room Facilities

Booking of fire appliances to attend fetes/galas and education packages

Input and retrieval of information from current database in order to assist in statistical reports
