Lowedges Road is a wholetime station geographically located on the South Yorkshire/Derbyshire border. The risks predominantly associated with this station area vary from light industry and retail business to small areas of parkland and residential domestic property. Residential property ranges from rented accommodation in poor socio-economic areas to the more affluent private housing areas on the outskirts of the city. It covers the areas Lowedges, Bradway, Greenhill, Gleadless, Norton, Hemsworth, Woodseats, Norton Lees, Totley, Dore, Ringinglow and Jordanthorpe. It has a Fire Cadets course which train on a Monday evening and its own Arson Intervention Cycle team.
