Mayor of Rotherham supports HFSRA Campaign
Mayor of Rotherham has smoke alarm fitted The Mayor of Rotherham, Councillor Hilda Jack, and Rotherham Councillor Mahroof Husain recently opened up their homes for Community Safety Officers from South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service to carry out a Home Fire Safety Risk Assessment and fit Smoke Alarms.

Journalists and photographers were invited along to highlight the benefits to the people of Rotherham in signing up for an HFSRA.  The HFSRAs  and smoke alarms are free and they can save lives.

The Community Safety Officers spent an hour checking out the Councillors' homes, offering life saving advice, fitting smoke alarms and helping to produce a fire escape plan, should the worst happen.
