We have achieved huge reductions in a number of areas due to the success of our prevention work. The number of house fires, arson incidents and road traffic collisions across South Yorkshire has reduced massively since 2004. However, we always strive for excellence and are constantly analysing our performance in order to identify any areas where we can improve the services we provide.
Statistics are an important way of doing this. The tables below offer an overview of our call outs over the last four years, including fires, road traffic collisions and over the border incidents. Primary fires are fires which threaten life or property. Secondary fires are smaller fires, such as grass or bin fires.
