Job Title: Deputy Chief Fire Officer

Responsible for: Martin joined us in 2015 with more than 20 years fire and rescue experience across three different services.He joined Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue in 1992 as a retained firefighter before joining full-time in 1994. He joined Hereford and Worcester Fire & Rescue Service in 2006, before joining Hertfordshire in 2008 as an Area Commander.Since 2004, Martin has been heavily involved in the work of the Chief Fire Officer's Association/National Fire Chiefs Council, where he is the national lead for operational learning as well as being the Chair of the UK Fire & Rescue Service Football Section.He previously led nationally for the fire and rescue service on the Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme; Water Safety and Water Rescue; and, been the deputy lead from Urban Search and Rescue.Martin was appointed Deputy Chief Fire Officer in January 2017.
