Overnight incidents 25/26 September 2024

One crew attended a car fire on Harmer Lane, Sheffield after a call was received at 6.33pm. Upon arrival the engine compartment was well alight and had spread to the seating area. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire which was caused accidentally. The incident had been dealt with by 7pm.

Two crew attended a fire in a kitchen on Highfield Avenue, Athersley, Barnsley after a call was received at 10.15pm. The fire, centred on a frying pan, had been removed from the building when firefighters arrived but they used a ventilation fan to clear the smoke. The incident had been dealt with by 10.37pm.

One crew attended a fire in a garage on Rotherham Road, Parkgate, Rotherham after a call was received at 1am. One van was involved in the fire which spread to surrounding vehicles. Two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire which had been dealt with by 1.55am. The fire is believed to have been set deliberately.
