Weekend incidents 18/20 October 2024

Friday 18 October

Three fire crews from Rivelin, Central and Elm Lane stations were called out to a deliberate car fire at 11:25pm on Philadelphia Gardens, Sheffield. The crews left the scene at 12;45am.

Saturday 19 October

Two vehicles were deliberately set on fire at 1:10am on Tudor Street, Thurnscoe, Barnsley. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. They left at 1:55am.

Edlington firefighters were called out to a deliberate shed fire at 3:35am on St Johns Road, Balby, Doncaster. The crew came away at 4:05am.

Two vans were deliberately set on fire at 5:30am on Manchester Road, Stocksbridge, Sheffield. Firefighters from Stocksbridge and Tankersley stations attended the incident. They left at 6:45am.

Firefighters from Adwick, Askern and Doncaster stations were called out to a static caravan on fire at 8am in a mobile home park on Station Road, Carcroft, Doncaster. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Sadly a dog died in the incident. Firefighters left the scene at 10:30am.

Elm Lane firefighters attended a deliberate car fire at 9:30pm on Fircroft Road, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 10:40pm.

Sunday 20 October

A car was accidentally on fire at 10:50am on Barnby Dun Road, Wheatley, Doncaster. Firefighters from Doncaster station attended the incident. They left at 11:20pm.

Firefighters from Central station attended an accidental car fire at 4:05pm on Thornborbough Place, Sheffield. The crew came away at 4:20pm.

Rivelin firefighters were called out to an accidental vehicle fire at 6:50pm on Loxley Road, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 7:15pm.
