100 cars involved in scrap yard fire

Firefighters tackled a large fire at a scrap yard on Deep Lane in Sheffield, up to a hundred vehicles were involved in the fire.

Thirty firefighters and six fire engines were called to the scene at 3am on Saturday morning.

The fire crews have worked hard using hose reels to bring the blaze under control.

Firefighters will remain on the scene damping down. Deep Lane, Grange Mill Lane and Grange Lane are currently closed and will reopen once the fire is completely out.
