A woman has unfortunately died following a fire at her flat on Becket Road in Sheffield.

Firefighters from Lowedges were called to the scene at around 01:59am this morning following reports of smoke in the property. Upon entering this flat, crews found one female casualty in her 30’s, who was pronounced dead on scene.

Our thoughts and condolences are with the woman’s family and friends at this time.

A multi-agency investigation into the cause of the fire is now taking place.
