Firefighters from Parkway were called to a car fire on the A630 Sheffield Parkway, Catcliffe, last night (Monday 17 December).

Upon arrival the crew, who had been called just before 7pm, found a Range Rover well alight at the side of the road.

They stayed on scene to assist the owner after using a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which had been dealt with by 7.15pm.

The cause is not confirmed, but believed to have been overheating of some kind. Nobody was injured in the incident but the car was left destroyed.
