Firefighters rescued a deer from a Sheffield river.

The small deer became stranded in Porter Brook behind Ecclesall Road at around 2pm on Wednesday (1 April).

Firefighters used nets to rescue the animal who was checked over by an RSPCA inspector before being released back into the wild.
