Overnight incidents 10/11 December

A mechanical fault was to blame for a car fire on the A1, northbound between J38 and J39 yesterday evening at 7:25pm. Adwick station attended the incident before leaving the scene at 8:05pm.

Dearne station was called out to a car fire on Melbourne Avenue, Bolton Upon Dearne, Barnsley at 8:25pm last night. Crews used a hose reel to put the fire out which is believed to have started accidentally. The crew left the scene at 8:50pm.

Firefighters from Central station attended an accidental car fire on Queens Road, Highfield, Sheffield at 11:35pm.  The firefighters left the scene at 11:55pm.

A pile of rubbish in a bus shelter was deliberately set on fire at 1:10am this morning on Midland Road, Royston, Barnsley. Cudworth firefighters left the scene at 1:25am.

At 4.40am this morning a car was deliberately set on fire on a driveway on Cobden Avenue, Mexborough, Doncaster. Firefighters from Dearne station were called to the incident and left the scene at 5:35am.
