Overnight incidents – 12/13 July

Firefighters from Birley Moor were called to Main Street, Hackenthorpe, at 8.25pm. Upon arrival they found a garden fire that had grown out of control. This was dealt with by 9.05pm.

Firefighters from Cudworth were called to Brierley Road, Barnsley, at 9.36pm. Upon arrival they found a Land Rover Discovery well alight down a grass track, off the main road. This was dealt with by 10.41pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Barnsley were called to Albert Street, Barnsley, at 10.28pm. Upon arrival they found a row of large industrial bins on fire behind a charity shop. This was dealt with by 11.42pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Aston Park, Maltby and Rotherham were called to Lowton Wey, Hellaby, at 1.26am. Upon arrival they found the outhouse of a café well alight. This was dealt with by 2.56am and the cause is under investigation.

Firefighters from Elm Lane were called to Wordsworth Avenue, Sheffield, at 2.33am. Upon arrival they found a small amount of rubbish had been set alight in the lobby area of a building. This was dealt with by 4.05am and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Maltby were called to Wellingley Lane, Tickhill, at 4.50am. Upon arrival they found a van well alight. This was dealt with by 5.31am and is thought to have been started deliberately.
