Overnight incidents – 12/13 May

Firefighters from Barnsley, Tankersley and Elm Lane were called to an agricultural building on Roughbirchworth Lane, Oxspring, at 7.35pm. Upon arrival they found a small amount of hay inside the building was alight. This was dealt with by 8.19pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Central were called to Spring Close View, Sheffield, at 7.59pm. Upon arrival they found a pile of rubbish well alight behind a house. This was dealt with by 8.17pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Dearne were called to Crofton Drive, Bolton-upon-Dearne, at 9.44pm. Upon arrival they found a pile of rubbish and aluminium window frames well alight. This was dealt with by 10.30pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Central and Rivelin were called to Westfield Terrace, Sheffield, at 11.40pm. Upon arrival they found a pile of rubbish alight in a doorway. This was dealt with by 11.55pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters were called to Foljambe Drive, Dalton, at 1.10am. Upon arrival they found some pampas grass had caught light, with the fire spreading to a nearby fence and causing damage to the windows of a property. This was dealt with by 1.42am and is thought to have started accidentally.
