Overnight incidents 13/14 January 2021

A man has sadly died at a property on Chaucer Road, Mexborough at 7:25pm yesterday evening. Three fire crews from Adwick, Edlington and Dearne attended the incident. The firefighters came away around 12am. A multi-agency investigation is underway to determine the circumstances around his death.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 7:45pm on Wood Lane, Brinsworth, Rotherham. Firefighters from Parkway station attended the incident. They left the scene at 8:15pm.

Two fire crews from Rotherham and Elm Lane stations were called out to a fire at a disused pub at 9:05pm on Greasbrough Road, Northfield, Rotherham. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left the scene at 12:10am.

At 9:15pm a fire crew from Cudworth station attended a tree and cut logs which were on fire at Wakefield Road, Staincross, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Firefighters left the scene at 9:55pm.

A wheelie bin was accidentally set on fire at 10:50pm on Junction Road, Stainforth, Doncaster. A fire crew from Thorne station attended the incident. They came away at 11:15pm.

A Ford Fiesta car was deliberately set on fire on Hollings Lane, Ravenfield, Rotherham. Firefighters from Maltby station were called out to the incident. They left the scene at 11:30pm.

Doncaster firefighters were called out to a deliberate car fire at 1:10am on Streatfield Crescent, New Rossington, Doncaster. The fire crew left the scene at 1:50am.

A Vauxhall Corsa car was deliberately set on fire at 2:05am this morning on Treefield Close, Wingfield, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 2:45am.
