Overnight incidents 15/16 April 2021

Dearne firefighters were called out to a deliberate grassland fire at 7:10pm on Herringthorpe Valley Road, Herringthorpe, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 8pm.

Two fire crews from Rotherham and Doncaster stations attended a deliberate fire involving wood chippings at 7:10pm on Cadeby Lane, Denaby Main, Doncaster. Crews left the scene at 9:30pm.

Firefighters from Tankersley station were called to a tree on fire at 7:40pm on Church Street, Jump, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Firefighters came away at 8pm.

A bin was deliberately set on fire at 7:40pm on Sycamore Road, Eastwood, Rotherham. Firefighters from Doncaster station attended the incident. They left the scene at 8:20pm.

A fire crew from Barnsley station attended a fire involving tree branches on Redbrook Road, Gawber, Barnsley at 8pm. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew came away at 8:30pm.

Doncaster firefighters were called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 8:20pm on Chester Road, Wheatley, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 8:40pm.

At 8:35pm firefighters from Elm Lane station attended a fire involving tree’s, pallets and scrubland at Scraith Wood, Herries Road, Sheffield. The crew left at 9:10pm.

Dearne firefighters  were called out to a fire involving a fence, bin and cable at 9:25pm on Rectory Close, Wombwell, Barnsley. The fire is thought to have been started deliberately. The crew left the scene at 10:10pm.

A fence was deliberately set on fire at 10:10pm on Westland Grove, Sheffield. Firefighters from Birley Moor station attended the incident. They left the scene at 10:45pm.

Rivelin firefighters were called out to a deliberate car fire at 12:20am on Singleton Road, Sheffield. The crew came away at 1:15am.

A wheelie bin was deliberately set on fire at 1:30am on Doncaster Road, Kendray, Barnsley. Firefighters from Cudworth station attended the incident. They came away at 1:45am.
